APGA national chairman rallies support for Gbor, Ararume

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has called on the electorate to vote massively for its presidential candidate General John Gbor and Chief Ifeanyi Ararume, its gubernatorial candidate in Imo state.

Dr Victor Oye, National Chairman of the party made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.

Oye said an APGA led Federal Government would implement restructuring and guarantee inclusive government.

He said Gbor had been campaigning across the country and enjoys the full support of the party.

“As a party, we sat and decided to produce a candidate and he has been traversing the country campaigning, we are 100 per cent behind General John Gbor and we are giving him all the support.

“He will bring fiscal restructuring because APGA believes in restructuring.

“Our government will ensure every Nigerian is carried along to develop the country; we are the only party with a clear cut ideology,’’ he said.

Oye said APGA and the All Progressives Congress (APC) remained political rivals and could not have been supporting President Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election.

He, however, said APGA was supporting Buhari because he is still the serving president of the country who deserved the prayer and support of every Nigerian.

“We are political rivals but we share the same vision of unity and progress for Nigeria.

“We will continue to support Buhari so long as he remains the legitimate president of Nigeria because God put him there, so we will continue to pray for him.

“If we go into partisan politics, I will disagree with the president because I am the national chairman of my party and I must promote the ideology of my party,’’ he said.

Oye described Ararume as the man that would restore Imo State to the path of sustainable growth and development.

He called on voters in the state to vote for him overwhelmingly just as he solicited votes for every candidate of APGA standing for election across the country. (NAN)
