He is Victor Giadom, a former executive Chairman of Gokana Local Government Area, who also served as commissioner for works in the Rotimi Amaechi administration in Rivers State from 2011 to 2015.

Giadom also served as the Director General of the Greater Together Governorship Campaign Organisation of APC in 2015 and a running mate to Tonye Cole in the 2019 governorship election for APC.

A statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said Giadom was the party’s Deputy National Secretary before his appointment.

Issa-Onilu also said Giadom’s appointment followed decision of the National Working committee of the party on Friday, May 24.

The statement added that Giadom would continue as APC’s National Secretary pending the announcement of a replacement for Mai Mala Buni who is now the Governor-elect of Yobe State.
