Dr Nkem Okeke, Deputy Governor of Anambra State, has called on the citizens and other residents of the state to embrace peaceful co-existence for enhanced development of the state.
Okeke made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Tuesday.
He stressed that imbibing the principle of living in peace and harmony with people “promotes healthy living and creates room for national growth and development of the state and the nation in general”.
The deputy governor, who also emphasised the need for people to strive to leave indelible legacy for emulation.

On the forthcoming general elections, he urged those eligible to vote to turnout and exercise their franchise during February 16, presidential and national assembly elections.
He appealed to the electorate in Anambra Central Senatorial Zone to cast their votes massively for Chief Victor Umeh, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Okeke said election should not be a time for people to foment trouble, but for the electorate to perform their civic duties by electing leaders of their choice.
Okeke described Umeh as well experienced in political matters, adding that the candidate had sound ideology that would make the zone develop faster.
He also called on the electorate to shun any act capable of affecting the progress of the election or heating the polity. (NAN)
