Soludo Charles, Governor-elect of Anambra State has been described as a great asset to the state.
According to the Southern Governors Forum, SGF, Prof Soludo’s wealth of experience as a hardcore economist will immensely benefit not only Anambra State but also the entire country.
In a statement issued by his Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo, Chairman of the SGF and Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, felicitated with Soludo on his victory, adding that the inclusion of Soludo in their fold would bolster the SGF quest for economic integration and enhanced socio-economic relationship in the South.
Akeredolu charged Soludo to be prepared for the onerous task ahead of him, also noting that the security and economic challenges in the Southern part of the country and the nation at large require joint efforts and unalloyed commitment.
“No doubt, we will be happy to explore the experience of the Governor-elect, as it relates to the economy and also help in our efforts to keep the people of the Southern Nigeria safe.
“Prof Soludo’s experience as a consummate economist will be of great asset to the good people of Anambra, Southern Governors’ Forum and indeed the entire country.
“On behalf of my colleagues in the SGF, I congratulate Prof. Soludo and wish him the best as he prepares for the Herculean task ahead.”
The governor also lauded Anathe mbra people for ignoring the security challenges to come out in their numbers to cast their ballot.
