PDP: Zoning or not, I’ll run for President in 2023 – Anyim

Anyim Pius Anyim, a former Senate President, has resolved to run for the highest office in the land come 2023.

Sen. Anyim, who was President of the Senate, between August 2000, after the late Chuba Okadigbo had been impeached, held that office until May 2003.

Sen. Anyim, who was also a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), shared his mind with The Nigerian Xpress, on his next political line of action as political activities heighten ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He disclosed to our reporter that whatever region his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), decides to zone the President, he would throw his hat in the ring for the Presidency.

After a frosty relationship with then President Olusegun Obasanjo, the former Senate President, he was later appointed SGF by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011.
