Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari is 78 years old today. Nigerians are celebrating the president with unusual wishes.
‘Mr President’ is trending on social media alongside ‘Hushpuppi’, an internet fraudster currently being tried in the United States for scams he perpetrated, and his special adviser on media, Femi Adesina.
The correlation between the Buhari and Hushuppi is not known, but many are sarcastically telling the president that he ‘needs to do more’ for Nigeria.
Amassing a whopping 41,000 tweets, Mr. President is trending at top spot on Twitter followed by Hushpuppi at 40,000 tweets.
“All change is not growth, as all movement is not forward,” a quote from Ellen Glasgow is the way Modupe Odele, #EndSARS promoter has chosen to celebrate Buhari’s birthday.
Others choose the occasion to remind the president of the many problems facing the country including insecurity and ASUU strike which is in its 10th month.
Others, however, wish the president good health and longer life.
