Kwara Utd. boss to offer scholarships to 10 best Kwara Governor’s Cup players

The newly appointed Chairman of Kwara United FC, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, has offered automatic employment and scholarships to 10 best players to be selected from the ongoing Kwara FA organised U-15 Governor’s Cup.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the tournament was put in place to mark the first 100 days in office of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State.

NAN also reports that Titiloye, told the players when he was addressing them on Thursday in Ilorin.

He said the 10 best selected players will be drafted into the Kwara United feeder team and would also be given scholarship into Kwara Football Academy (KFA) to complete their secondary education.

Titiloye urged all grassroots coaches to work hard and emulate the efforts of Coach Soni Ahamioje, who in spite of his limited resources, had produced international players from the grassroots for Nigeria.

He appealed to the coaches to choose merit over mediocrity and favoritism.

The Kwara United chairman equally advised all the participating players to be disciplined and avoid immoral life styles that could hamper their football career. (NAN)
