JUST IN: Dangote shot dead

Sani Dangote, a notorious bandit kingpin operating in north-west Nigeria, has reportedly been killed in a deadly clash with a rival gang in Zamfara State.

 

 

 

 

 

Reports indicate that Dangote met his demise alongside his two brothers and several of his fighters during the confrontation with another terrorist group led by Dankarami. The clash, which occurred in Dunmurun, Zurmi local government area (LGA) of Zamfara State, transpired in the early hours of Sunday, April 7.

Dangote, who had been declared wanted by Nigerian security agents since November 2022, was a feared figure known for terrorising sections of Zamfara and Katsina states.

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to sources, the fatal altercation stemmed from a dispute over rustled cattle. Allegedly, one of Dankarami’s associates pilfered a flock of sheep belonging to Dangote’s sibling, prompting retaliation that culminated in bloodshed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dankarami, also known as Goska, swiftly retaliated upon learning of the incident, resulting in a lethal confrontation that claimed the lives of Dangote, his brothers, and other accomplices.
