INSECURITY:  Kaduna Bans Check Points At Entry Routes

Kaduna State government has banned all check points on its entry routes.

The spokesman and Commissioner for Security and Strategy, Mr. Samuel Aruwan has said in a statement in Kaduna.

The statement titled: No Checkpoints Along Kaduna-Abuja, Kaduna-Zaria and Kaduna- Birnin-Gwari Highways,” the commissioner advised citizens to note that there is no authorised checkpoints on these routes (to and fro) until further notice.

He warned that any person or group seen manning road block on these highways, will be treated as common criminal.

According to him,”Any person or group of persons observed to be manning checkpoints along these routes at anytime must be considered as carrying out illegal operations, and must be treated as such”.

Mr. Aruwan advised road users not to show compliance with any checkpoints on these routes at anytime until further notice.
