The gunmen, who attacked Maranatha Baptist Church and St. Moses Catholic Church, in the Rubu community of Kajuru council of Kaduna State, last Sunday, are now demanding for N100 million to free about 36 worshippers in their custody.
The state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, said three persons were killed in the attack.
A traditional leader of Angwan Fada at Rubu community, Elisha Mari, who was one of the kidnapped victims in the Sunday attack, said the bandits stormed their villages on over 30 motorcycles and took them away.

Aruwan spoke to journalists when heads of security agencies and a Kaduna government delegation visited the area.
He said he was freed because he was a traditional leader but was asked to raise at least 100 million in ransom before others in captivity would be released.
Another freed victim, Mr. Bashir Usman, told journalists that the three persons who were killed tried to confront the terrorists.
According to him one woman had one of her ear cut off by the gunmen.
Also, some assailants yesterday attacked Panyam in Mangu council of Plateau State, abducting a traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Aminu Derwan.
According to reports, the gunmen, who were about 20 in number, stormed the palace early yesterday and took away Derwan, the district head of Panyam.

Spokesman for the state police Command, Alabo Alfred, confirmed the incident, saying security operatives had been deployed to track down the kidnappers and rescue the paramount ruler.
Police in Bauchi also confirmed the abduction of the Village Head of Zira, Alhaji Yahya Abubakar and his son, Habibu Saleh, in Toro council of the state.
The Command’s spokesman Ahmed Wakil, said the gunmen attacked the village, a border village with Plateau State, on Saturday.
Wakil said a police search team was on the trail of the hoodlums.
