Gunmen attack Winners Chapel, abduct 3 members

A branch of Bishop David Oyedepo’s Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, in Kogi State, has come under attack by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

 The church, which is sited at Osara community, along the Lokoja-Okene road, in Adavi Local Government Area, was attacked while some members were rehearsing for s programme.

The invaders reportedly raided the church, shooting sporadically to scare away people before whisking at least three members away. 

 Chairman of Adavi Local Government Council, Joseph Omuya Salami, on Monday, confirmed the development to newsmen through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Habeeb Jamiu.

The chairman is reported to have visited the scene alongside the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of Osara Divisional police command to assess the situation of things.

 Jamiu also said the council was collaborating with security agents in the area with regard to a safe rescue operations for the victims.
