Funke Treasure Durodola retires from FRCN

Assistant Director of Programmes, Lagos Operations of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Mrs. Funke Treasure Durodola, has voluntarily retired after 19 years of service.

A valedictory session was held for her during the staff forum of Radio Nigeria, Ikoyi, Lagos State, on Tuesday.

She was former General Manager of Radio Nigeria’s  Radio One (103. 5 FM).

Cumulatively, Durodola, according to her Facebook post, has worked for 23 years in the Nigeria media industry as a broadcaster, journalist and trainer.

She is a certified John Maxwell Team Leadership Coach, Speaker& Trainer, Multiple Award Winning Broadcast Journo, Speech Coach, Author and Social Entrepreneur.

A graduate of English Language from the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Ondo State, Durodola also holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University, South Africa apart from numerous local and international training certificates.

She is the Initiator of Media Mentoring Initiative which runs an Internship scheme for student and practicing journalists.
