The declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on March 1, has received a boost as the sponsor of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Cup, Chief Madu Obi, has congratulated Tinubu on his electoral victory.
Obi, however, urged Tinubu to consider sports as a means for youth development.
Obi, in a statement, on Tuesday, said sport was a veritable tool to develop the youth in the country, adding talented youngsters can better their lots by earning fantastic income through their participation in sports.

He stated that Nigeria has the capacity to turn sports into a multi-billion dollars ventures where many people, including the youths, coaches and many others stakeholders, can benefit from.
He said, “I congratulate our President-elect for his victory at the polls. However, the focus for him is to develop the youths and I am sure sports are one of the avenues to do that.
“Tinubu must also know that the sports sector can become a huge money spinner where a lot of people can be employed.
“I am sure that the exploits of the like of Victor Osimhen who is the leading scorer in Serie A has caught the attention of the world but he started his career in Nigeria. I also know that there are many more like him in the country,” he said.
