Adeboys says to Pray for Nigeria, youths at RUN convocation

The General Overseer Worldwide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged Nigerians not to stop praying for the younger generation and the country.

Adeboye spoke at the 13th convocation of the Redeemer’s University of Nigeria, Ede, Osun State, on Thursday, According to The Punch.

Adeboye, who was represented by the RCCG National Overseer, Pastor Joshua Obayemi, said with prayers, God could turn around the situation of the country.

He said, “To our dear parents, guardians and entire university community; please, do not let us stop to pray for these ones and for our nation, that the same God who turned things around in Samaria in those days will turn things around miraculously for us in this nation, in Jesus name.”

Presenting his scorecard, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Anthony Akinlo, said the institution had secured approval to commence 14 academic programmes.

He also said out of the 381 graduands, 37 of them made first-class honours with Deborah Irelewuyi of the Department of Economics emerging as the overall best graduating student.

He added that Irelewuyi had been given immediate employment by the university.

In his remarks after he was honoured with the Doctorate Degree of Letters, ex-President, Nigerian Bar Association, Chief Wole Olanipekun, commended Adeboye for the support given to the institution, especially the Faculty of Law.
