AglowNigeria organises sustainable school safety and security summit

AglowNigeria Communications, with the endorsement of Lagos State Government, through the Lagos state Safety Commission and its development partners, has scheduled a summit for education stakeholders in the state and beyond. It is a National Conference for Sustainable School Safety and Security Media Summit.

The summit, said to be free, attracts stakeholders from private schools in the state. The summit has as its theme ‘National partnership For Transforming Schools into A Safe Learning Environment’.

In a press release issued by convener of the summit and National Project Director of Safe Schools Advocacy Project (SSAP), Mr. Areola Samuel, the twosome event would hold at Chemline House, Obasa Road, Off Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja, in Lagos State.

Organisers say that opportunities from the summit would include, meeting with state agencies tasked with safety, emergency and First Responders Responsibilities and the organisations who are into safety products and services provision to interact and formulates a better symbiotic relationship in the furtherance of the state government’s safety policies.

Also, there will be opportunity to meet with the safety products and service providers under one roof for special safety business communications.

Organisers also said that the twin events would have School Directors and managements availed themselves the opportunities of the above co-curricular activities and enroll schools principals/head teachers, students and parents (parents should be nominated as SafeSchool Ambassadors).

Beneficiaries of the events are expected to be the National Association of proprietors of private schools (NAPPS), Association Of International School Educators Of Nigeria (AISEN), Association Of Private Educators In Nigeria (APEN), the Association Of Formidable Education Development (AFED) as well as all other private school owners in Nigeria.

Objectives of the conference  are partnership between state agencies tasked with the responsibility of The School Safety and First Responses in an emergency Situation, the organisations that are into safety products and services provision, and the schools to interacts and formulates a better symbiotic relationship in the furtherance of the association’s safety and security objectives.
