Again, bandits attack Kaduna, kill 24, burn houses

No fewer than 24 people were feared killed and several others injured in renewed attacks on three communities in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

Chairman of Zango Kataf Local Government Area, Mr. Elias Manza, who made this known stated that invaders first attacked Chibob village, on Friday night, where they reportedly killed nine people and left several others with grievous injuries as well as torching many houses.

Manza further disclosed that there were similar attacks on Sabon Kaura village, leaving 15 people dead.

He added that yet another attack was carried out at Ungwan Audu village on Sunday night, which resulted in the burning of many houses and farmlands. Many people were also reportedly injured.

Consequently, the council boss said, several families have been displaced from their homes in the area, as those that sustained injuries are being treated in different hospitals in Kafanchan and Zonkwa.

To ensure that there were no further attacks on the people,Manza pleaded with the government to deploy more security operatives to Zango Kataf.
