A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Oyo State and former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Professor Taoheed Adedoja has revalidated his membership of the party at his Ward 4, Popoyemoja in Ibadan South West Local Government area of Oyo State. It was like a carnival as the grassroots man was received by hundreds of party members at his Popoyemoja family house, Ibadan.
The 2007 Oyo State Governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress (AC), expressed happiness at the large turnout of members of APC and other political parties at the on-going new membership registration and revalidation exercise.
“This is clear evidence of the acceptability of APC by the masses as the party to beat in any future elections in the state and the entire country,” enthused Adedoja, who is also a member of the Oyo State APC Elders Advisory Council.
Another member of the party in the same Ward, Alhaji Nurudeen Kazeem, who also came for the revalidation exercise, described Professor Adedoja as, “an accomplished leader with integrity worth emulating,” saying, “he has impacted on the fortunes of the party since the registration exercise commenced”
