Abiodun signs investment promotion bill, others into law

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has signed into law the Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency 2019  and three other bills into law.

The three other bills  which were also signed into law by  Abiodun are, Ogun State Legislative Fund Management Law, 2019;,the Magistrates’ Court (Amendment) Law, 2019 and the Customary Court (Amendment) Law  2019.

The bills were presented to the governor for assent by the leadership of the state House of Assembly on Friday.

The governor signed the bills in presence of the Speaker of the House  of Assembly,  Olakunle Oluomo, and other members at a caucus meeting held at the Governor’s Office, Abeokuta.

The governor lauded the lawmakers for passing the bills which are for the interest of the people within the first 100 days of the inauguration of the 9th Assembly.

He commended the lawmakers for passing three other resolutions and for approving N1.5bn loan to facilitate the Anchor Borrowers’ Programme aimed at producing 40,000 agroprenuers.

He stated that this would enable the state to  participate actively in national economic growth, stressing that agriculture was one of the sectors which his administration was ready to revolutionise.

Abiodun said, “The Anchor Borrowers’ Programme is one of the programmes under our agricultural sector which is one of the pillars of our vision.
