Abia court adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s N5b suit against FG till Nov. 19

An Abia State High Court has been adjourned  till November 19, the suit seeking the release of the detained leader of the proscribed  Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, by the Federal Government.

The N5 billion suit, which is seeking to enforce Mazi Kanu’s fundamental human rights, was filed by his lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor.

Ejimakor, on Tuesday morning, said that the suit had been adjourned to November 19.

Said he, “Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s human rights suit which was set for today, 2nd November has been adjourned by Abia High Court.

“I’m saddened by this untoward development over a suit that seeks the unconditional release of Kanu from his illegal detention,” Ejimakor said.

When asked about what might have transpired to cause the adjournment, the lawyer disclosed that the hearing was billed for 9:00am but the Judge, Justice Onuoha A.K Ogwe, was not on seat.
