It has been reported that seven Chadian soldiers, a local guard and six insurgents were killed, on Friday, in Mbomougo, in Chad area, when Boko Haram ambushed the soldiers in the lake Chad region.

Also, 13 people were said to have been injured in the attack.
According to the report, a Gendarme Colonel was among those killed.
