2023 elections: Lagos lawmaker, Jude Idimogu, says Igbo’ll vote APC, Tinubu

A Lagos State House of Assembly lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo constituency 2, Hon. Jude Idimogu, on Thursday said the Igbo community in Lagos will vote for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2023 presidential election.

Idimogu, who is the only Igbo lawmaker in the House of Assembly, gave the assurance at the 8th Annual Constituency Stakeholders’s Meeting with the theme “2023 General Election: The Imperatives of Permanent Voters Card, held in Ejigbo.

According to him, the high number of Igbos in Lagos is an advantage for APC in the State. He urged the state government to dialogue with Igbos in Lagos on the need for them to vote for APC in the coming elections and deliver the state for the party.

He urged the government not to see Igbos in Lagos as enemies but partners in progress as they have contributed a lot to the progress of the state.

He also advised Igbos in Lagos to live in peace with other tribes, and work for the ruling party.

” Government should not see Igbos as enemies. The pattern of approach is what matters. They should put appropriate measures in place to approach them. As for me, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is number one. APC is for all of us. Lagos is for everybody. Let us accommodate one another. It is our responsibility to vote. APC is our party The Yoruba and Igbos are brothers and we must all work together to deliver for APC. In Lagos State, APC is number one, they are not perfect but they are trying, ” he said.

He urged the Igbos and people in his constituency to obtain their PVCs as it is the only way they can cast their votes .

“There is a need for everyone to obtain his or her PVC in order to vote in the coming general election. Your PVC is your power not just to continue building the state but the nation as well. It is your power for continuity, stability and sustainability of our enduring and cherished democracy,” he added.
