Cape Verde 2020: Coca Cola signs up for Africa Youth Cup

Organisers of Africa’s rising international youth soccer tournament, the Africa Youth Cup in Cape Verde, Serahanasports have confirmed the involvement of Coca Cola in the second edition of the tournament holding from June 26 to July 5, 2020.

According to Maria Luzia just back from Praia, things are looking good for the tournament ahead of the second edition, especially with the involvement of soft drink giant, Coca Cola.

“We are continuing preparations for the 2020 edition on a very good note. Coca Cola Cabo Verde has signed up to be part of the tournament after a meeting with the company’s General Manager, Mr. Rodrigo Chies. Chies made a firm pledge to ensure maximum support from the company towards the success of the Africa Youth Cup tournament 2020,” Luzia disclosed.

According to the General Manager of Coca Cola Cape Verde, the company shall brand all venues and fan zone with corporate color and logo including the provision of all water and Coca-Cola drinks during tournament etc. 

“Coca Cola is ready to receive participating teams and all comers to Praia Cabo Verde for the Africa Youth Cup 2020. In line with our usual tradition, next year we shall also be serving bottled water in Cape Verde (Bon Aqua) for free to all participants courtesy, Coca Cola Cape Verde,” the young and vibrant Coca Cola official was quoted as saying.

With support of this magnitude coming from Coca Cola Cabo Verde, the Africa Youth Cup tournament would become one of the very few international youth soccer tournaments that would serve grade A bottled water for free to all participants. 

We are glad to announce the confirmation of the following clubs for Africa Youth Cup 2020: Club Sport Maritimo of Madeira and SL Benfica of Portugal, maiden edition champions Volcan Junior Academie, and Deportivo Football Academy from the Ivory Coast, Pawas Academy and United Boys FC Bauchi Nigeria, Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy Zambia, Finic Sports academy Ghana, and KZN Stars Academy of Durban South Africa.
