Lagos fire service boss, 6 others kidnapped

Some gunmen, on Saturday,  kidnapped the Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau and six others along Iwoye bridge, Itokin-Epe road, Ikorodu in Lagos.  
The kidnapped persons who are mainly members of the top managment cadre of the Lagos State Fire Service were returning from an official assignment when they were attacked by the kidnappers and whisked away.
Others kidnapped by the armed bandits are Mufutau Adams, Funmilayo Adelumo, Asiogu Martha, Lasisi Muka and two others whose names are yet to be confirmed.
The Lagos Commissioner of Police who confirmed the incident said the command was on top of the situation.
CP Zubairu Muazu said he had tasked the Command’s Anti-kidnapping Unit to ensure that they rescue the seven persons abducted.
Muazu said, “ Some hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers had on April 6, 2019, at about 8pm abducted the Director of Lagos State Fire Service and others, along Iwoye bridge, Itokin-Epe road, Ikorodu. I have in company of  lthe Tactical Units Commanders visited the crime scene in the early hours of today, and assured the family of the victims that the command is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the victims are rescued unhurt.”
The state police boss further revealed that the vehicles the victim’s were driving in was recovered from the scene.
“A Toyota Sienna, Toyota Corolla and Opel Jeep were recovered from the scene,” he said.
He however assured Lagosians of their safety at all times saying the command   has intensified patrols and surveillance along Itokin-Epe road, Ketu, Ereyun and other major highways in the State.
